How do I browse all of the available glyphs in Dorico?

I am finding this list browsing to be very tedious and making it difficult to find appropriate symbols:

How can I browse by the graphics of the glyphs themselves?
Is there documentation somewhere?

Check the SMuFL site. The order of the dropdown in Dorico corresponds with the order of the Glyph Tables in the left column:

I always just go to smufl.org and click on Specification.

If you set the list to “Unicode” instead of SMuFL, and change the Unicode range to U+E000 onwards, then you’ll see all the SMuFL glyphs.

… but I’d suggest that you still need the SMuFL website to make sense of them.

For Mac I use Ultra Character Map, It supports Standard Music Font Layout.
