I am currently working in Cubase 6.5 using a Steinberg MR816 csx Audio interface. It works great but I could do with a couple of extra inputs. I also have an M-audio Firewire Audiophile which is fully working. I’ve never tried connecting A/I’s though ADAT or S/PDIF before but thought now would be a good time to try!
The MR816 has S/PDIF has in/out sockets on the back and so does the Audiophile, so I guess my question really is how do I manage to connect them together and then for them both to work in Cubase?
I have phono cables to connect them but I wasn’t sure what to connect where and then how to get Cubase to recognise what is going on!
Just incase you need any of this info, I am using a PC with Windows 7 64 bit.
Any help would be much appreciated as I am a bit of a novice when it comes to digital connections like this!
