How do I control the colors of tracks separately from the audio waveform?

I want to be able to assign a track color–to stay organized. However doing so seems to also change the audio waveform color, which is an inconvenience. How do I keep that separate these colors?

By default Parts & Events follow the Track’s Color. If however you select the Parts and set them to a specific color they will retain that color when the Track changes color.

Are you really asking about the Track color? Or do you mean the Audio Event color by any chance?

yes… that seems to be logic… since the event represents the audio data within an audio part…
but you can handle different colors for the tracks…

Exactly.
