How do I hide a bar line or part of a bar?

Hello, I need to hide bar lines to make a sheet for my students as follows:

However, as far as I know, there is no way to do this, Dorico. Am I right? How do I hide a bar line or part of a bar?

If you do not need dashed barlines, you could set the dash length to zero and use that instead.

Thank you so much! It works for my particular case!
However, this only works if one does not need dashed barlines…
It would be good enough if changing the colour of barlines affected…

You could use separate flows for this and set the final barline to “No barline” for the first flow.

I like this idea, but how do you get the 2nd flow to show up on the same line as the first flow as in the original poster’s first picture? I can’t figure out a way to do it. We really do need an “invisible” bar line. There are so many reasons why one might need that, I just don’t understand why we don’t have it as an option.

I’ll post an example file in a moment…

This is one of the few occasions when I miss Cubase: you select a bar (everything to say the truth), select hide and what you selected disappears…

Here is the example I did up quickly. You could tweak other things. I’m not sure how to hide the rests at the end of the bars.

Michele’s post above is the easiest way to do this at the moment!
