I’m transcribing a part from a score that starts with Measures A-F then transitions to numbered bar numbers beginning with 1. I haven’t been able to figure out how to change bar numbers to be alphabetic and I’ve had no luck coming up with the correct search terms. Is this possible?
I’m using Pro Dorico 4.3.30.1132.
I think you can use the subordinate type in the right-click>bar numbers>add bar number change dialog. Then you revert to primary bar numbers (and set it to start from 1).
I see. I was trying to get the primary bar numbers to be alphabetic. I didn’t realize it was only possible for the subordinate bar numbers. Thanks!
