I have an instrument track with a bunch of inserts and a send. I’d like to hear the effect of the sends alone, but when I solo the send it also solo’s the instrument track. How do I hear just the effect of the sends?

I just figured out to turn down the volume and use pre-fader send so I thought I got it, BUT I read that thread and learned that Listen can do the same thing (and so much easier!).
