How do I move the line further to the left of the note?

Assuming that’s a standard vertical line, switch to Engrave mode, select the line, and move it with Alt/Opt+left arrow.

It’s a line that I created in the “Lines” option. I want the change to happen globally as I use the line a lot. I try to change the “Distance from the Item” option, but it doesn’t change anything.

If you don’t use the non arpeggio sign elsewhere, you could set it like this in Engraving Options > Arpeggio Signs > Design:

It doesn’t look like I can adjust the horizontal space for non-arpeggio signs.

Are you sure you set the Hook Lenght to 9/50 (or to the same value as the Line Thickness) and not to 0?

With 0 it gives indeed spacing issues…

I was thinking about Galley View/Page View but it works on both here.

Just to make sure: you’re entering a non-arpeggio sign, either from the popover (Shift+O, nonarp) or from the Ornaments Panel, right?
