How do I recover a license if soft-elicenser is not registered?

Hello guys,
I recently had a problem with windows which resulted in me formatting my system drive and reinstalling windows, apparantly in order to reactivate the license I need to have my eLicenser registered in my Steinberg account which i didn’t do before since I didn’t know it was needed.

Is there a way to recover the license if I don’t have access to the old eLicenser code since trying to re-register the product tells me its already activated on another eLicenser.

All one can say is to write to SB Support and depend on the kindness of strangers. Without the original activation code they have to take you at your word.
