How Do I Set Up Fader Dial to Change Note Length?

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to map the “Lengthen Duration by Grid Value” function to the rotary dial on my external MIDI fader. Right now, I can set this up by going to the key commands menu, choosing “MIDI Learn,” and then rotating the fader’s dial. This assigns the function to MIDI channel 16. The issue is that whether I rotate the dial clockwise or counter-clockwise, it only increases the note duration.

Is there a way to configure this so that rotating the dial clockwise will lengthen the note duration, while rotating it counter-clockwise will shorten it?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I’m afraid not at the moment, Tyler. The handling for MIDI shortcuts isn’t sophisticated enough to differentiate between increasing and decreasing CC values.

Does this behavior stands with the new Midi 2.0 controllers?

I use the dials in Loupedeck and they are a dream to control Dorico
