Hi, I have an old laptop with Windows 10 that I use Cubase 6 on with a USB-eLicenser, I have bought a new laptop with windows 11, as Cubase 6 is not compatible, I would like to update to Cubase 15, but I cant see how to upgrade it, can anyone assist?
You need to buy the update fron Cubase 6 to Cubase 15, you can do that via the Steinberg online shop. You will receive a Download Access Code that has to be entered in the Diwnload Assistant.
There is a checklist and a lot more Information on the support pages, including links for the first Download.
I think you can add to cart the upgrade from 6 and then fill in the steinberg download manager the code given. Install it on the new computer and activate with the Steinberg Activation Manager, it will ask you to connect to your steinberg account / profile.
Check on your steinberg profile first, if you have the cubase 6 license active, that will be the proof for the upgrade.
I cant find my Cubase 6 license on my account and don’t even remember if it was registered in the first place as it was a very long time ago, I just have the USB and the software on CD, am I just out of luck?
In your MySteinberg account click on licensed devices, then register elicenser - Enter the serial of your elicenser - You should still be able to install elicenser control centre on W11 and read the serial off the dongle if you need to.
