How do I update to 6.5.3 using Windows 8?

I recently had my brother build me a new computer due to my old one having a integrated sound card and no empty ports for a new one. It has Windows 8. I tried downloading the Windows 7 update version for Cubase 6.5.3 and it doesn’t register as me having Cubase installed. What can I do to update it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have a 6.5 license and not just 6, right?

If so, did you install 6.5.0 first?
