How do I write automation for a parameter in a Stack?

I’d ideally like to assign the stack level to a midi controller, then draw in my automation that way.
Here is my process:

Assign Stack audio input from a pre-recorded Track.
Create Automation Track
Assign Stack Volume to a MIDI controller via Learn function
Assign Automation Track to to Stack Volume
Click the red ‘W’ on the automation track
Play the song and make my live adjustments via MIDI controller and get good sonic results.
However my automation is not saved anywhere
If I use my mouse to manually operate the Stack volume it does save the data, but I find this almost impossible to make smooth adjustments this way.

I have tried hand writing in the automation which works functionally, but I have an issue where as I add automation points it delete or moves points that precede the one I am adjusting, so it has not solved my issue.

Hi @birdmug,

we’ll check.

Thank you for the report,
Michael.

I have the same issue, I tried the exact same thing a couple days ago with my midi controller and had the same issue. So, I used my mouse but did not get a good results and tried to edit the individual automation points but VST would delete points that I was not editing. Unfortunately, I find automation track editing to be very clunky.

I have found now that I don’t get the problem with drawing information if I draw it not in the lowest main window, but in the part that shows all the automation lanes.

Not ideal, but will do for now.
