How do owners of Verve and Etude VSTis get the iPad version?

So far, I see no option in the Cubasis shop menu nor in the separate app store plugins for Verve and Etude to get them as owners of the VSTi versions.

How is it supposed to work?

The VSTi does not give you an iOS/iPad license, you have to buy the apps and you will get a native Cubasis version, and a AuV3 version.

Hi @jim_knopf

Thanks for your message.

Our mobile apps are developed by a dedicated team and are separate from our desktop products, which do not include mobile versions.

Verve and Etude for iPhone and iPad are available on the App Store and currently include an introductory offer valid until January 7, 2026.

If you own Cubasis for iOS and have purchased Verve and/or Etude for iPhone/iPad, you’ll receive a free Cubasis plug-in version of the piano for improved integration.

On Android, Verve and Etude are available via Cubasis in-app purchase, as the Android platform doesn’t support external plug-in apps like iOS does.

Hope that helps.

Best,
Lars

My question was: how?

Hi @jim_knopf

How to Install the optional Cubasis Plug-In Versions of Etude and Verve for iPhone/iPad

Prerequisite
You own Cubasis for iOS and Verve and/or Etude for iPhone/iPad.

Steps

  1. In Cubasis, tap the SHOP button.
  2. Scroll down to the Verve or Etude shop items.
  3. Tap the Download button to install the Cubasis plug-in version(s) of Verve and/or Etude.

On Android, Verve and Etude are available via Cubasis for Android in-app purchases.

Hope that helps.

Best,
Lars

So the only “advantage” is buying the mobile versions as separate apps to then have them inside of Cubasis afterwards? That’s certainly nothing I care about. I only use the Verve and Etude VSTis very casually, as they do not belong to the VSTis I regard as first class for my purposes.

Hi @jim_knopf,

Verve and Etude for iPhone/iPad can be used as standalone apps (for example, by connecting a MIDI keyboard). In addition, you can use them with Cubasis or any AUv3-compatible DAW.

If you’d like to learn more, please check out our comparison tutorial below or visit the Etude and Verve product pages for iPhone/iPad.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Lars
