How do the Cubase upgrades work?

If I have Cubase 5 and buy the C6 upgrade, to install it do I need to first have C5 installed and it copies files over top of it, or does it do a fresh full install from the C6 disc?

Hello,

Just install Cubase 6. A previous installed versjon is not needed. When you update the old license on the usb key gets upgraded to the new one. With the new license you can still start the previous editions of Cubase.

Thanks, that’s what I was hoping! I really dislike upgrading previous software versions by installing new files over top (a la Windows), it just seems really messy and sketchy that way.
