Beat Designer is a MIDI pattern generator. It has no samples but drives the sample triggering in an instrument. It’s pretty common for a drum instrument (Groove Agent SE, for example) to allow you to change or load pad sounds.

So the answer to your question is a qualified ‘yes’ based on your perceived intention.
