So im not talking simply soloing a track but rather the same as when you ctrl+click the solo button on a channel and it does an exclusive solol
Im also not talking about the preferences setting

Hi,
you’ll find it here as a key command:
Key Commands / Preferences / Project & MixConsole Activate Solo on Selected Track.
That just turns on solo any time you select a track
Thanks but as I mentioned, I have the global setting off; I dont want exclusive solo on all the time, only when I troubleshooting, so I just use the shortcut of ctrl+solo to force exclusive…but how to action that with a key command? I dont want to have to macro that on and off etc because the delay when doing that with preferences is quite annoying tbh.
Hi,
have a closer look at my post - you need to open key commands / preferences etc
. Your screenshot shows the actual preferences. That’s not what I meant since you were asking for a key command.
BTW, I use this key command all the time, it’s really helpful.
Yep @Reco29 the keycommands/preferences is just a shortcut to that screenshot
Needs to be a shortcut to this
Okay, then I don’t understand what you are looking for. There’s no delay here when I activate it. The warning display that it’s activated/deactivated has no effect on its functionality.
I must have misread your post, sorry.
Thanks @Reco29
In other words

Sorry, I didn’t have the chance to read the second part of your answer while I was typing. I get it, now… ![]()
I don’t think there is one. If there is, I would like to know too. It’s always been ctr+click on the solo button.
just painful if using hardware
Try Autohotkey? Just taking a guess here…
Doesnt work, Cubase does not expose widgets and only some windows
You can do this using a macro:

Not exactly a key command but functionally the same…some times you gotta look outside the “box”
