How do you get a self-created MIDI Remote script to load?

I made a simple script using the API. It’s in the Local Folder, and when I go to the MIDI Remote Manager and navigate to the correct folder in order to Import it, I can see the script, but it is greyed out.

So how do you import a script you’ve written?

Is the script maybe not finding the hardware controller it’s intended for? That can be caused by mismatched port names between the script and the OS.
