How do you increase or decrease the rhythm proportionally without blurring the following notes? Is there such a function, and if not, can it be implemented? It’s a purely technical tool. I think it would be useful for both composers and arrangers. Thanks for the answer if anyone has it. Have a nice day!

Can you give us a more detailed example? It sounds as if you wish to increase or decrease a section of the music but not all of it. That suggests using one of the Insert modes with a Stop Line, but I’m not sure if that is what you mean.

(Tuplets will likely be something to keep an eye on any time one alters note values proportionately.)

You can use Write>Edit Durations… in conjunction with Insert Mode. But there are limitations, most notably it will not work when tuplets are present.

Yes, thank you! I didn’t know about the combined solution of insert mode and increasing durations. Thanks for the idea and the solution! And the example is simple - for example, you have entered a melody with sixteenth durations in a tempo twice slower, and then there is a piece of continuation with eighth durations in slow tempo. To bring everything to a common denominator I needed your advice not to overdub with other durations. (this solution works also when combining basic durations (without trios, quartos, duos, etc.).
