Sometimes I want a predefined pause in the middle of song. To say something, have a surprise break, listen to the audience or whatever.
The only way I’ve found is having a bar with an endless flexloop with no sound. But the downside is that it’s impossible to trigger a start on cue (because it’s quiet there’s no way of knowing where in the beat VST Live thinks it is).
Does anyone know of another way to do it?
In theory: Assign a midi note to start/stop in Actions then use a midi track to send the stop. Hit space or remote controller button to resume.
In practice: Hitting space always restarted the song, maybe user error somewhere.

But note that after stop, VL returns to the start position of the ongoing part. So we need to set a part directly after the stop, and remember to navigate to that part before hitting Start again.
Another part - that’s an idea! But it should work as one would expect in the first place.
