How does the process of selling Cubase Pro v12 look now?

NO, I’M NOT PLANNING ON DOING THIS - JUST CURIOUS

So, how does it work now? With v11 and below one had to remove the license from one’s account at steinberg.net and mail the eLicenser USB stick to new owner, who’d be able to activate and use it on their end. Easy enough, just took time, effort and some extra cost.

How does it work now with on-line activation? What’s the procedure?

In case of most other DAWs you simply either click an appropriate button and it’s done automatically (Ableton), buy a transfer token and contact support (Presonus) or just e-mail the support (Bitwig, Reason Studios). But I couldn’t find anything about Cubase - current page about license transfer only say the procedure doesn’t t apply to Steinberg Licensing, without linking to anything that’s relevant in this case… :person_facepalming:

Anyone?

It will be possible, but the process of transferring licenses from one account to another is not defined yet.

Thanks, I must’ve missed that particular part of the statement

Has this been defined yet?

Yes. The Wizard pages have been updated for the new system.
