How exact are envelope dB values

In the montage, dragging volume envelopes up and down displays numerical changes by the tenth of a decibel. Are these exact values? I’m asking because there seems to be movement in the envelope line (and the waveform) when making extremely small movements, while the dB value stays the same.

Obviously, a hundredth of a decibel doesn’t really matter, but if there is approximation in the numerical values, are they rounded to the closest tenth (1,45 → 1,5 dB), or would a (possible) 1,49 dB change still be shown as 1,4 dB?

If the values in dB are exact to the tenth of a decibel, would it be possible to have the lines “snap” to limit movement? I’ve added a screenshot where all the envelopes are a + 0,1 dB boost, but they look different to each other.

For peace of mind, I guess I just want to be sure that I’m actually changing the level by 0,1 dB, and not accidentally doing a 0,02 dB change, if the actual values of two meeting points are at 0,14 (shown as 0,1) and 0,16 (shown as 0,2).

Sorry if this could’ve been asked with one sentence, I thought it’d be better to open my thought process.

The displayed values are rounded.
• 1.49 dB would be displayed at 1.5 dB
• 1.44 dB would be displayed at 1.4 dB

In the next WaveLab version, there will be two decimals displayed for precision.
