How is Ryan Leach making the Dorico edits in this video?

I was watching Ryan Leach do a short video where he orchestrates woodwinds to a theme using Dorico.

I followed every edit he did, until this moment where he copies two notes and it looks like he pastes them in to two parts, and the notes go in different staves AND copy the rhythm from two other staves at the same time. How does he do this?

Then a little bit later he does something similar. It looks like the parts materialize out of thin air.

Can someone tell me what he’s doing and recommend a resource so that I can also learn how to do it? (I have Dorico Elements)

I’d be very grateful.

Thanks!

It looks like it’s an edit in the video. He doesn’t show himself voicing the chord in those parts. You can see his head flip to another position in the frame at the bottom right both times.

I should have noticed that. I was too closely looking at the music! Makes sense. I thought he had some secret mojo.
