Hi All, I want to use my Dorico 3 on my new MacBook Air. I’m also open to upgrading to latest version, Dorico 6. Given the eLicenser closing in 2025, though, I don’t know what the cheapest way to do this would be (and I understand it might be impossible to transfer my Dorico 3 license onto my new laptop, at this point). If I need to purchase Dorico 6 on my new laptop, would there be any credit given to me on account of me already having purchased Dorico 3? Thank you for reading this.
The upgrade price to v6 from v3 is $250.
You didn’t say which release you have, Elements or Pro. To update your release you can simply go to the Steinberg website and buy the update, based on your current version.
There is also a support document describing how to update from the eLicenser based version to Steinberg Licenseing. It shows Cubase, but the process is identical for Dorico.
