How to Activate Cubase License on a New Mac

Hello! I have been using cubase 13 Artist version for a while and it was great.

I am planning to get a new mac shortly, I’m wondering how to activate license and transfer my cubase setting to a new laptop.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Cubase 13 was based on the new licensing system. So you can just:

  • install Steinberg Activation Manager
  • Sign-in with your MySteinberg credentials.
  • Install Cubase

And you are ready to go. During the 1st start, Cubase will find your licence via Steinberg Activation Manager.

To transfer your Cubase settings, use built-in Profile Manager in Cubase to Export/Import your profile.
