It seems to me, as if there is no other chance to get Eightnotes from different Systems on the same Beam than writing them in one system and than shifting one of them to the other system. But that creates not so resonable rests.
How can I get the “right” rest length if I shift one of two Eight Notes in the System below. To have no rest at all in the upper System seems as wrong as to have a quarter note rest, when there is already an eightnote (shifted from the upper System) notated.
Is there any way (apart from simply hiding the wrong quarternote rest) to make the restlength appeare more reasonable with an eightnote rest, in the system, where no Note is written in.
Thank you for every helping hint.
The Hide property (for noteheads, stems and ledger lines) is only available in the lower zone when you are in Engrave mode. You should see it if you scroll across to the right in Properties.
Finally I was able to male use of both Ways to get the right rest’s in Bars with Voices shifted in another System.
Thank you all for those great and constructive hints!
