How to add a downloaded product to the elicencer?

Hello. I’ve bought & downloaded Cubase Pro 13 and it’s listed in the products/licensings site It was purchased direct from Steinberg and a download code was provided.

However I would like to add it to elicencer so I can download & install a copy of Cubase 3 SX to convert some old files. However I cannot see any way to obtain the activation code for the product.

Grateful for some help on this.

Unfortunately it’s not possible. The two licensing systems are incompatible. I believe the only way to get SX3 is if you have Cubase 11 or earlier, which DO use the e-licenser .

Please create a Project filetype conversion tool before the eLicense retires

Right now a bunch of folks have Cubase 3 installed for the sole purpose of converting older Projects into .cpr files. The move to the new licensing and the coming retirement of the eLicense are making this approach less and less viable. Steinberg should make a simple utility that takes an .all or .arr file and spits out a .cpr file.
