How to add chords notation for backing tracks playback

Hi,
I’m a new cubasis user (little experience /w Daws) and have purchased some audio backing track stems. I would like to add chords notation for reference during play back. What’s the best way to accomplish this?
Thanks!

Hi clewis123,
Unfortunately there is no actual way of adding chord notation in Cubasis, but I do have a way which suits me perfectly as shown in my photo below.
It is very simple to create chord notation segments that can be coloured to suit you, this way you can recognise a chord from its colour if it is repeated in the song.
To save having to cut and name every segment, you may find there are many repeated chords, just tap a segment with the same name and tap Copy, position Playhead at new chord position and tap Paste, very simple and effective.
If you shrink the screen to show more bars then the chord names will not be shown- only the chord colour. My photo shows 9 bars on screen and as long as you have the FOLLOW PLAYHEAD tab enabled (circled in yellow) then all the chord notations will be shown throughout the song as it plays.
Hope this is helpful to you.

Mike, thank you very much for such a brilliant and helpful solution!!
I greatly appreciate your detailed instructions and notated image which gave me so many additional tips on the Cubasis UI features. It certainly jump started my understanding of. Cubasis. I was able to follow your instructions and everything is working as you described. :+1:

Thanks again, and best regards,
