How to add layers in FMLab

New FMLab user,
I searched the manual but can’t find an answer to my question:
When importing single DX7 patches, I get only one “FMlab” title in the upper screen. When selecting some other patches (that came with the program), I notice 4 times “FMLab FMLab FMLab FMLab” in the upper screen and I can pick 4 patches / layers in that case, But how can I add or remove this ‘layers’ myself to just two or three or so please?
When I only need two layers now, I choose a existing patch with four layers and turn the volume down in the other two. There must be another way but I don’t know how…

I’ve got the answer from Geppastro in another topic :grinning:
Below is a copy of his answer:

As far as I understand, “Layers” contains just single layers (i.e. the original DX7 sounds), Programs instead contains complete programs made of one or more single layers. You can’t edit factory programs, so you can’t add layers to factory programs.

You can, instead, create a new program from the HALion Home page (Create → FM Synth) where you can delete (if you want) the default FM Synth Layer and then select Init FM Synth, then right click on it and then Load/Save → Load from New Layer, and choose a layer made of one of the original DX7 sound.
Repeat if you want to add more layers.
You can add as many Layers as you want.
