I’m trying to add Spectralayers 11 as an ARA extension in Cubase 12 Pro for Windows 10. I watched a tutorial video on Youtube that said you go to Audio > Extensions, but I don’t see the ‘Extensions’ option under the Audio dropdown menu.
Hi,
You can also select the Audio Event and find the Extension field in Info Line. “No Extension” is selected by default. Click on it, and choose the ARA extension, you want to use.
Make sure the SpectralLayers file is present in this folder:
%CommonProgramFiles%\VST3
aka
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
If it is not there you can manually copy it there from the SpectralLayers program folder. A typical path would be
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\SpectraLayers 11\ARA\VST3
I can’t see the Extension field in the Info Line. Here is a screenshot of my Cubase 12 Pro project. As you can see, even with the audio track/event selected, there is no Extension option in the Info Line.
Hi,
Click on the cogwheel in the Info Line, or right-click. Remove some fields and put the Extension more to the top/left.
Great, I’ve got it working now. Thanks guys!
