How to apply a 'glitching' type effect

I’m fairly new to creating music and to Cubase in general. I’ve learned most of what I know through endless google searches and clicking on pretty much everything I could find. As such I consider myself somewhat competent at the most basic basics.

However I can’t figure out how to recreate a specific “effect” or whatever that I heard, referring to:
At the very beginning of this song the guitar is kinda glitchy, I have no idea what this effect is called but it’s awesome and I wanna replicate it. Not only on guitar tracks that I’ve recorded but also in a MIDI track, like the drums or something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Krem

That effect is really easy to achieve by messing around with the the Stutter controls in Cubase’s built in plugin called ‘Loop Mash FX.’

Kind regards
