How to authorise SE3 with Cubase 7 Elements Licence

I have Cubase Elements 7

I want to use SE3 to get some old .all files into .cpr format

I downloaded SE3 and run it but it fails to authorise.

Application ‘Cubase SE 3.x’ has caused the following error:

eLicenser(s) contain(s) no valid license for this application.

Options:

  • For troubleshooting information click .
  • Click to view available licenses.
  • Connect a valid eLicenser and click .
  • Click to abort.

I’ve tried to point it to the Cubase Elements 7 licence but when i click on it, it doesn’t toggle.

Any advice?

And the answer is :you can’t do this with Elements.

Mmmm … I would have thought that the Elements license would allow you to run SE3, as they are in the same product “class”. If you had Elements installed, and then installed SE3, there’s a possibility the older copy protection driver got installed, so you might try updating the eLicenser to the latest version again.
