How to automate fxs without a controller in cubase 12

I would like to add some delay to a synth plugin but only for one bar.

I dont use a midi controller.

Im running cubase 12 artist version.

Can anyone help please?

You don’t need to have a controller to write automation, you can always record automation by moving the respective faders or knobs (after enabling “write automationl of course) or you can manually draw automation curves.
There is a whole section in the manual regarding automation
