How to center align text boxes

Please help me find where I can specify that a text box should appear in the center of the page. I am using text boxes for the titles of movements in a single long work. Thanks.

I’m not sure about making a text box (perhaps you mean frame?) centered. But, there is a way to get the result I think you want. In your templates (Engrave mode), make a text frame that is the entire width of the page. When you enter text into it, make that text centered. The end result is that the text looks centered to the page.

Hi @twiprud, it would be maybe better to drag the text frame from the left to the right edge, and then, once you insert your text or token, define its middle position setting the horizontal alignment in the text editor, or even better in the assigned paragraph style.

Got it, thanks!

Just curious: Why not use flows for the movements, and then use flow headings for the movement titles? The factory default flow heading already includes a centered flow number and flow title. (You can delete the flow number if you want.)

To center a text box (a field on a page template) simple give it equal margins on left and right. Once can have the text field within it center the text.
