How to change beginning pedal marking at beginning of coda only?

Hi,

I have a pedal marking that needs to have a “retake” at the beginning because it’s at the beginning of my Coda and that’s where a pedal change happens. How can I change this beginning vertical line into a “retake” indication as shown in red?

I’ve tried to right click in engrave mode and “add retake” but nothing happens when I do this.

Hi Wendy,
you could create the retake at the second chord and then move it to the start of the pedal line in Engrave mode. The left hook can be disabled by changing the properties Sign appearance to “Ped. Text” and Text to empty text.
