How to combine VST instruments on the fly

Currently I’m searching for solutions how to combine different VST/libraries “on the fly”. What I mean by that? For example, I add the string section from library A and the brass section from library B. For the woodwinds section I might add flutes and piccolos from library C and for clarinets and oboes I use library A once again. When working in a DAW, I usually use presets and just drag together the libraries I need.

My first idea was to create individual endpoints for each instrument from every library and just create the playback template I need from scratch for every project. Are there other methods?

It should be sufficient to create just the expression maps (which you can import and export as needed)
