I have a Sennheiser e835 microphone running though an Audiobox usb96 and can’t figure out how to get Cubase to recognize the microphone. I have it hooked up using a 6.35 TS cable with an adapter to a 3.5 TRS cable into the microphone input in my computer. Is there anything I’m doing wrong?
Why are you plugging it into the computer when your audiobox has an XLR input?
You should have and XLR cable with one end female the other male (standard mic cable) . Plug one end into the mic the other into the audiobox. In Cubase choose the audiobox asio interface in studio and off you go.
I think you need to do a little bit of reading as this is a real basic bit of knowledge. Reading up on microphone connections and audio interfaces may save you a lot of time.
