Hi,
I have a library that needs to reset all key switches to Note Off. Otherwise the last key switch gets stucked for ever and ever.
Is there a simple way to do this?
Thanks!

I’m not at a workstation to see ‘exactly how’ step by step and test, but if you can find a way to enter the note again with a velocity of 0 that should work. Seems like there might be an option to toggle between held and temporary key switches as well?
Another possibility is to enter an ‘all notes off’ CC121, but that might cause glitches in your music, and some plugins out there might ignore it.
If I recall correctly, the way to do it in Cubase is to set up a ‘natural’ base switch that has no key switch involved. This should have you covered for ‘articulations’ entered in the score editor. I.E. Staccato, Accents, Tenuto, Slurs, etc. Cubase should automatically bounce back to the ‘natural’ node of your expression map unless you have some kind of ‘sticky’ playing technique (I.E. Mutes, Pizzicato).
If you’d entered a ‘sticky’ playing ‘instruction’ in the score or on the special expression map lanes of the key editor, then you’ll need to cancel it after the phrase with your natural instruction. I.E. Con Sord vs Open, arco vs pizzicato, etc. If you’re not using the score editor then you’d use the special lanes in the key editor to toggle your playing instructions.
Thanks for your answer.
I tried your suggestions.
Still doesn’t work, because the articulation linked to any key stays pressed no matter what. The app expects a note off command but Cubase appears to send none.
Other libraries have a key switch assigned to the “natural” or “base” patch, but not this one, so, once you depart from this “base” patch, there is no return.
I’ll contact them to get more info.
