How To Create A VST Connect Session - how to connect, etc?

Hello All:

In the past I have used VST Connect successfully to record vocals, bands, etc. It was simple - I had the client set up an account at Steinberg and then I found them online and connected and all was well. I haven’t used it in a while. The University where I teach just got Cubase 15 and Dorico on all the machines. YEAH!!! My recommendation. But I don’t know how to start a VST Connect session the new way and I don’t see any instruction here on how to do it. So this music professor is asking for help. HELP!!! :-1:

Make sure you have the current version of Connect.

Start a VST Connect session within Cubase as normal. Look for the unique string of characters that is the unique session key (top right area of the VST Connect screen, from memory). Send the other person that key (by email or some other means) They type it into their version of VST Connect. No need for them to sign up for a Steinberg account any more.
