How to create lyric extender lines

Hi everyone! I’m entering lyrics but when I hit the ‘-’ key to continue a lyric or want to end a word, it automatically continues the line for the syllable until the next word. I’ve tried deleting the lyric and writing it again but it keeps on happening. Any tips?

The hyphen key adds a hyphen between syllables. If you want to start a new word, use Space.

use - to break syllables within a word and space to advance to the next word.

After “whis-per” just press space 4x until the cursor reaches “could”. Similarly, since “could” is a single syllable, enter it on the A and press space 2x to get the cursor to the C for “cost”.
