Using the information in the manual, I can’t delete either explicit or implicit rests in Write mode. Why is that? Pressing backspace or delete does not remove the rest. I just want to remove a rest and have the following notes snuggle back up. I am missing something very basic.
If you want to delete a rest and have the following music move left to occupy its position, use Insert mode: show the caret, set the appropriate scope (if you want it to affect only one voice, one player, or the whole ensemble), then hit Backspace.
