I had a terrible time trying to create two pitched notehead sets with 27 and 51 noteheads using the Notehead Set editor, which has several unpredictable behaviors. I finally got all the noteheads I want in each set, although noteheads are out of order, ill-named, and there are apparently dozens of unused (not present in any Notehead Set), undesired noteheads in the project.
It seemed that when I cloned a notehead or renamed a cloned notehead, Dorico would often keep the old one or make multiple clones. There is no music and no notes in the project, just one empty bar.
I know these unused noteheads are there because they appear in the popup menu when I click the Add Notehead to Set button, and there are name clashes when I try to rename a desired notehead.
Apparently, the undesired noteheads are only in this one project because they do not appear in those menus of other projects.
I have tried saving this empty project, quitting and relaunching Dorico to no avail. How can I delete unused noteheads?
