How to display different meter than the actual one

I have created a work in 7/4. I want the subdivisions effecting note groupings thus: 3/4 +1/2 + 1/2. If I write the meter this way, Dorico will subdivide the way I want. However, I don’t want the meter to look like this. I want it to look as 7/4. Musicians will figure-out the subdivisions by looking at the groupings. However, if I write 7/4, Dorico subdivides them in an unwanted way.

In Finale there is an option for creating such a meter, then saying “use a different time signature for display”. How do we do that in Dorico?

Does entering [3+2+2]/4 in the Shift-M popover give you what you want?

Yay for the quick and easy solution! Thank you @hrnbouma
So it’s the brackets that holds the magic. Gotta remember that!

You could also just change the properties of the time signature…
