Have been trying hard to achieve this in Dorico. Could only do it with Engraving mode but the + symbols move all over the place after I’m back in Write mode, and I can’t make workable copies of theses measures.
(new user from Finale and sometimes wondering after 1 month if I made the right choice)
If you use playing techniques you can group them, then change the Line style and end cap in Engrave mode. Or use a Line with a start and end cap.

Thank you so much Jesper. Unfortunately I’m too new to Dorico to apply what you suggested.
In the first option, I cant’ find the same menu as the one on your pic, either in Write or Engrave mode. If I go to Libray / Playing technique, I get a box not a menu and there’s no option for Grouping.
For the second option, when I try to create a new Line style with a start and end cap, the options are restricted to arrows, brackets etc.
I’m on Dorico 5.1, French version, on a Mac.

If you add the o as a playing technique to your first note, then add the + to the rest in the second bar. Then select both by cmd (Mac) ctrl (win) clicking both playing techniques. Then right-click to get the contextual menu and select as in the picture. (I used playing techniques under unpitched percussion.)
But brass is maybe better.

Hi @nvirtuel, following the excellent advises by @jesele, if you want to add the tous and have it integrated in a separate playing technique (always available for all future projects), I made a short video to show how to create one:
OK, great, I got it !
Thanks a lot Jesper !
Wow, fantastic, that was super helpful, thanks a lot Christian !
