I’m sorry if this is a very simple question. I have a situation where I need to have a trumpet cue be one bar plus one eighth note in the next bar, then switch to a sax cue on the 2nd eighth. I have the trumpet cue (mostly) added but haven’t figured out how to get it to include that last eighth note.
Cues are like everything else that has a length – you can extend or reduce them in the same way, with Shift Option Right/Left arrows.
How do I even select the cue to change it?
Never mind, I figured it out. The signpost for the cue was hidden behind another signpost.
Select it in the Full Score Galley view, where cues are always visible. It will highlight and you should see a red circle at each end. Move, lengthen/shorten using the usual keys.
