how do i enter e.g. a forte or a Ped. in the midst of a tied note?
(I do it with U now and glue it with T afterwards, that can’t be the truth…)
Use the caret! Just get the caret where you want it then use Shift+D to open the popover.
Move the caret cursor to where you want to enter the dynamic, and press D.
Dynamics are attached to rhythmic positions in the bar, not to notes. But if you drag a dynamic left or right, it WILL attach itself to the next note position, not to the next rhythmic grid position.
