How to export audio files to Cubase in stereo

Hi guys, I do have Cubase 9.5
Have difficulties with importing audio file in stereo. It always comes in mono. Any ideas?

And how do you know they are mono? …based on the waveform you’re looking at, or what you’re hearing.
