How to fix articulation volume

Hello!

I recently bought the student version of Cubase 15 and have enjoyed using it so far. However, I am having an issue where when my instrument switches articulations, the volume of the articulation is heavily decreased, and I am not sure how to fix this issue.

I have tried adjusting the velocity within the midi preset, redone the expression mapping, with no luck.

I have attached a video that shows exactly what is happening. What’s also interesting, is at certain times, all of the articulations will play at the same volume, but then other times, seemingly at random (or maybe some button I pressed, idk), it will go back to this weird volume difference for articulations.

Thanks so much!

Are you using Modewheel (CC1)? Most Sample Libraries react on CC1 for the dynamic of the long articulations.

This was it, thanks so much!

What happened was I hadn’t set my note expressions to be on CC1 and then hadn’t written anything in the CC1 editor - though I swear I did this before, I guess something glitched out and the data got deleted.

Hope this helps anyone with a similar issue!
