How to fix dotted eighth placement/2nd voice beaming

In this short section from a piece of music, the dot on the dotted eighth note is all the way to the right for some reason

It’s voice 2, and when I try flipping it, the beam goes underneath the whole notes
I’ve tried fixing it in Engrave mode but it has a mind of its own and the beam will snap to certain positions that obviously aren’t right. I have 2 more screenshots but can’t post them since I’m a new user I guess.

Any way to fix both the beaming and placement of the dot?

Skelly,
Welcome to the forum.

I don’t know, why Dorico places the dot that strangely, when your rhythm is in downstem voice.

Instead of flipping, if you Swap Voice Content, you’ll get the correct notation, see attachments:

I changed Rest position in first bar to resemble your image.

Thanks @k_b! But it’s really strange that right-position of the dot! It looks like an attempt to avoid interference with the other voice, even if there is no chance to have it…

Thank you! That fixed the beaming/augmentation dot issue, however now I’m wondering how you put the half rest on top of the whole notes in the first measure. I can’t move it in write or engrave mode, and it looks like the piano marking is wearing a hat, which looks weird to me.

Select the half rest.
Open Properties.
Change the value in Rest pos.

Delicious, thank you!
