So, it’s a DOH moment here - my ADC hardware (mixer) was set to a sample rate of 44.1k, but I recorded into a project set at 48k, and the footage is marked in the header as such… resulting in an erroneous duration and pitch.
Ideally, I’d go into the audio file headers and change it so that the footage is marked correctly at 44.1k - or use a re-interpret command inside Cubase (as opposed to re-sample) … but I haven’t found such a beast.
Am I missing it? Any suggestions on how to best proceed? Ty!
So, you want to convert a 48khz file to 44.1 kHz?
if so, select file go to audio-process-resample
on pop up select your desired sr hit apply (if auto is not enabled) and done
if you like make the direct offline process permanent when done
attaching ss
Solved. I actually had the Adobe suite, and while I haven’t used Audition, it turns out it has a re-interpret function that cleaned up the clips. Thanks for the suggestions.
Oh I see, I found on “Steinberg help” a way to do this on Media Bay by changing the attributes of the file but I haven’t tried it myself.
