How to get Cubase 9 VST list to 10?

I upgraded from 9.5 to 10. I had done a lot of customizing of my VST lists in 9.5, but none of that appears in the Cubase 10 update.

How do I get my custom lists to version 10?

Thanks.

Did you try to export a profile from 9.5 and import it in 10 via Profile Manager? Are all paths set correctly in the VST Plug-in Manager?

I did not. I will look for that. Thanks.

If you’re talking about your custom plugin lists then M1000’s suggestion should indeed work but I always find it easier to just copy the file across. If you’re on Windows 10 the relevant file is here:

“C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 9.5_64\PluginManager.xml”

Just copy it to:

“C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 10_64\PluginManager.xml”

Thanks! Funny Cubase wouldn’t ask to import those old settings.

Interestingly it’s always been one of my slight gripes that Cubase never imports settings from previous versions, at least never seems to, and one was left with the rather clunky method of copying the preferences folder over. On the other hand, it did work and wasn’t too much of a schlepp, it also forced one to know where the preferences were.
